The Program

Following an induction program, you'll join an audit team and be directly involved in the day-to-day responsibilities and challenges of the team. During your 12 month program, you'll also attend a series of dedicated courses to add to your technical and professional skills base.

These courses will both enhance your ability to operate as a professional in our team environment, carrying out your own responsibilities; and prepare you for further program and team management responsibilities. The courses attended will depend upon your specific career path but some of the skills, practices and issues these courses cover are:

  • Financial audit tools, methods and techniques
  • Performance audit tools, methods and techniques
  • Time management
  • Workplace communication
  • Conducting and undergoing business interviews and making presentations
  • Program planning, evidence collection and analysis
  • Documentation, working papers and report writing
  • APS accountabilities and responsibilities
  • General management and corporate governance
  • Team development and operation
  • Senate and legislative processes
