Working conditions and culture that support graduates

Being a relatively small agency of some 300 staff, you will quickly become familiar with the working environment and staff throughout the Office and not just be a 'number'. You will have the opportunity to comment and provide input on a range of business decisions that affect you in the workplace through a variety of consultative mechanisms.

The work is both challenging and rewarding. We recognise that our principal asset is our highly skilled and motivated staff and we invest heavily to ensure you are able to reach your optimum performance and individual development.

During your first year, you will undergo a period of technical training as part of the Graduate Development Program. Your terms and conditions of employment are outlined in the ANAO's Workplace Agreement 2006-2009.

We promote and actively encourage staff to balance work and outside interests and commitments. We have a range of flexible working arrangements that can be tailored to suit both your personal and the ANAO's needs.

Through our social club, we offer a number of activities, including sporting events, trivia nights, happy hours, etc. Other smaller branch/service group functions are regularly held to celebrate a milestone or completion of an audit cycle. These gatherings are all designed to assist you to get to know your work colleagues in a relaxed and friendly setting.
