Assurance Activities

In addition to conducting performance and financial statement audits, the Auditor-General undertakes other assurance activities. These generally consist of reviews undertaken by agreement with the client, either at the request of the client or in response to requests from stakeholders, including Ministers and Parliamentary Committees. These activities include reviews of government information and advertising campaigns and of the Defence Materiel Organisation’s Major Projects Report. Individual assurance activities may be handled through the issue of a formal report or by correspondence.
