Government Information and Advertising Campaigns
The Government has introduced new Guidelines on Information and Advertising Campaigns by Australian Government Departments and Agencies. The Auditor-General has agreed to provide a report to the relevant Minister on compliance by departments and agencies with the Guidelines for proposed campaigns with expenditure in excess of $250,000. A Minister may also ask the Auditor-General to provide a report on campaigns valued at less than $250,000 or which are sensitive in nature.
