Role Description:

As a Group Executive Director and member of the ANAO Executive, Peter has a leadership role in shaping the direction of the Office, its specific strategies, policies and practices. Responsible for leading one of the two Performance Audit Service Groups, Peter also oversees the planning, management and conduct of performance audits and has a pivotal role in managing relationships with senior stakeholders in agencies and the Parliament.

Peter is responsible for the ANAO’s performance audit coverage in a wide range of agencies including Defence, Immigration and Citizenship, Attorney-General, Foreign Affairs and Trade, Treasury, Finance and Deregulation, Infrastructure Transport Regional Development and Local Government, and Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Profile:

Peter was appointed as Group Executive Director, ANAO in February 2008.

Peter is a long term ANAO officer who initially worked in the financial statement audit area before moving into performance auditing. Peter has 15 years experience in a range of SES positions in the ANAO.

Peter is a member of CPA Australia.
