The Assurance Audit Services Group (AASG) conducts annual financial statement audits of Australian government entities and agencies. It plays a crucial role in improving the standards of financial management and administration across the public sector. We are looking for graduates in Commerce/Accounting, Business/Accounting, Economics/Accounting or IT Systems/Accounting.
The Assurance Projects Branch is also part of AASG. This branch conducts the annual Major Projects Review of Defence Projects and also undertakes audits of key performance indicators of Australian Government agencies.
The Performance Audit Services Group provides Parliament with assurance about the quality of public resource management. These audits also assist public sector managers by identifying and promoting better administrative and management practices. We are looking for graduates in any degree which demonstrates strong research and analytical ability, for example Economics, Social Science, Law, Business, Communications and Environmental Science.
IT Audit provides leading edge IT support and resources to both Assurance and Performance Audit. IT Audit staff are drawn from a range of professional and technical backgrounds including: project management; system administration; database development; data analysis; and financial systems management. We are looking for graduates in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Analytics.
