The Auditor-General for Australia, Grant Hehir, delivered a keynote address to the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) on Tuesday 12 September 2023. The address was titled Public sector accountability – the ANAO’s role and it was delivered as part of IPAA's Secretary Series.

Michelle Page, Senior Executive Director Performance Audit Services Group, delivered a presentation to the Institute of Internal Auditors – Public Sector Assurance Forum titled Lessons for promoting integrity in the effective management of probity.

The Auditor-General for Australia, Grant Hehir, delivered the welcome address to the biennial International Meeting of Performance Audit Critical Thinkers (IMPACT) 2023 conference. IMPACT 2023 was hosted in Canberra, Australia on 19 and 20 April 2023.

The ANAO provided a case study to SAI Russia, as a follow-up to the Moscow Declaration SAI Russia is publishing a collection of case studies and best practices of strategic approach to public auditing. The case study was titled Using data analytics for risk-based performance audit planning.

The ANAO, provided a country paper and acting Executive Director Corinne Horton, delivered a presentation to the 8th Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) Seminar on Environmental Auditing virtually, on 25 October 2021. The country paper was titled Themes from the Australian National Audit Office’s recent environmental audit coverage and the presentation was titled Audit Promoting Government Accountability for Environment.

The ANAO, provided a country paper to the 8th ASOSAI Symposium held virtually on 8 September 2021. The paper was titled Responding to disaster and pandemic issues.

The fifteenth Commonwealth Auditor-General of Australia, Grant Hehir, has prepared a mid-term report reflecting on his first five years in the role. The report presents a description and analysis of the role and impact of audit, as well as analysis of the financial audit and performance audit work of the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO). The report concludes with coverage of ANAO continuous improvement activities across audit quality, better communication, transparency, efficiency and workforce capability.

The Auditor-General, Grant Hehir, delivered a presentation to the 15th Biennial Australasian Council of Public Accounts Committees (ACPAC) Conference held at Parliament House, Canberra, on 7 November 2019. The presentation was titled Maintaining Trust in the Parliamentary Process — PACs and Officers of the Parliament.

Grant Hehir, Auditor-General for Australia, attended the Institute of Internal Auditors-Australia ‘Public Sector Internal Audit Conference’ on 31 July 2018, and presented an opening keynote session titled Strategic governance of risk: Lessons learnt from public sector audit. Grant Hehir, Auditor-General for Australia, attended the 18th Meeting of INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing in Bundung Indonesia in July 2018, and presented a keynote address titled Sharing experience on auditing urban environmental management.
