This audit would examine the oversight arrangements for identifying, monitoring and treating National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider non-compliance in relation to claims for payment.

Service providers under the NDIS work with plan managers, support coordinators and local area coordinators to deliver services to NDIS participants. Providers delivering services under the NDIS must comply with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013; other relevant Australian laws, rules and regulations; the NDIS Code of Conduct; NDIS Practice Standards; and NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Pricing Limits. Providers are responsible for ensuring that claims for payment from the NDIS are complete, truthful, and accurate. The National Disability Insurance Agency undertakes various provider compliance activities. The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission also has a range of compliance and enforcement powers.
