This audit would examine the design and administration of trade support loans and whether the Trade Support Loans program has achieved its objective of increasing completion rates among Australian apprentices in priority trades.
Trade support loans (of up to $20,420) were established in 2014, with a budget allocation of $1 billion over the period 2015–16 to 2019–20. The audit would examine whether the objectives of the program are being met.
