The objective of this audit is to assess the Commonwealth Ombudsman’s effectiveness in managing complaints.

Audit criteria

The ANAO proposes to examine:

  • Does the Ombudsman have fit-for-purpose arrangements in place to support the effective handling of complaints?
  • Does the Ombudsman review the effectiveness of its complaint’s management processes?
