About Us

The objective of this audit is to examine the effectiveness of the award of funding for Medicare Urgent Care Clinics.

Audit criteria

The ANAO proposes to examine:

  • Did the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (DHDA) appropriately establish the Medicare Urgent Care Clinic program?
  • Has DHDA effectively developed, implemented and managed grant agreements with Primary Health Networks for Medicare Urgent Care Clinics?
  • Has DHDA effectively developed, implemented and managed federation funding agreements with states and territories for Medicare Urgent Care Clinics?
