The objective of this audit is to assess the effectiveness of the design and delivery of the Leaving Violence Program national program.
Audit series
This audit is part of a series of commenced and planned audits on the topic of domestic, family and sexual violence:
- Public reporting on domestic, family and sexual violence expenditure (commenced)
- Design and delivery of the Leaving Violence Program – regional trials (planned)
- Design and delivery of the Leaving Violence Program – national program (planned) - this audit
The Auditor-General is also considering a related performance audit on the Administration and management of grants awarded under the Safe Places Emergency Accommodation Program, which is a potential audit on the Annual Audit Work Program 2025–26.
These audits will be conducted across the Social Services and Treasury portfolios.

- Was the national program designed effectively?
- Is the national program being delivered effectively?
